We Remember

KOWALIK, Lorna Marie
April 16, 1959 — October 13, 2024
It is with great love and deep sadness that we announce the loss of Lorna Marie Kowalik, who passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, at Glenmore Lodge in Kelowna, British Columbia.
Lorna leaves behind a wealth of love, including her loving husband of 33 years, Richard Kowalik; daughter Christine (Conor) Palutke; brother Ian (Nancy) Sutherland; sister Sheila Sutherland; and many extended family members and friends whose lives she brightened.
She now goes to join her parents Don and Kathleen Sutherland; as well as her brother Tom Sutherland.
Lorna was born on April 16, 1959, in Edmonton, Alberta, where she grew up with a love for life and a dedication to helping others. For over 25 years, she worked as a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technician at the University of Alberta Hospital, touching countless lives with her compassion and skill. After her long and fulfilling career, Lorna retired with her beloved husband, Richard, in Lake Country, British Columbia. She was cherished by all who knew her, loved beyond words, and her warm presence and kindness will always be remembered.
The family would like to express their many thanks to the staff at Glenmore Lodge for their care, support, and compassion.
A Memorial Service will be held on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM, located at WESTLAWN FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB.
