KRASSELT, Sarah Lillian “Sally” (née Gage)
January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970
Sally passed away on Saturday April 4, 2020. She is survived by her three children Colleen Armeneau (Dwayne), Bev Sperling (Doug), and Brain Krasselt (Kim); Ten grandchildren Scott Armeneau (Susan), Michelle Armeneau, Renee Armeneau, Jennifer Alexander (Clint), Theresa Dewis (Steve), Laura Bruce (Brad), Pete Sperling (Sandra), Michael Sperling (Brooke), Kevin Krasselt, and Erin Bolokoski; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Sally was born on June 27, 1922 in East Kildonan, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1944, She graduated from the St. Boniface Hospital School of Nursing and worked there for a year before moving to Kelowna, British Columbia to work at KGH (Kelowna General Hospital). While working in Kelowna she met and married Alban Walter Krasselt and remained.
She loved to keep busy and to help others. She was the neighborhood nurse. She enjoyed walking, gardening, playing bridge, and knitting for herself and others. Both Sally and Alban enjoyed the outdoors and were often camping and fishing. They also enjoyed many wonderful trips together, and after Alban passed Sally enjoyed many more trips with her daughters. Sally was a long-time member of the Kelowna Curling Club and participated in many bonspiels throughout the valley.
Sally was dearly loved by all of those who knew her and will be missed.
A private family service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 10:00 am, Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC, interment will follow at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations may be made to the SPCA, spca.bc.ca or to a charity of your choice.
