We Remember
KRASZNAI, Bela
March 12, 1952 — December 21, 2021
Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1952, Bela Krasznai went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2021, in Kelowna, BC at age 69.
While still living in Hungary, Bela met Irene at church and married her on November 30, 1974. They immigrated to Canada in 1981 and lived in Ontario to begin with. Later in the 1980s, they moved to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and stayed. For Bela, music was a constant theme and joy in his life, so too was his faith and his commitment to his church. Church was a place where he could express his faith and share his music, to the community and through ministry. He was a man of commitment, to his wife, to his son, as well as to their church family.
Bela has gone on ahead and leaves his loved ones behind to join him later: his beloved wife of 47 years, Irene; his son Roland; and his sister Eva Dobner & her family, in Hungary.
To honour Bela’s life, a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Unvaccinated friends and family are welcome to attend, masks will be mandatory.
If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream (see below), a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Dear Irene and Roland,
When we think of Bela, we remember a gentleman, a quiet and servant heart
, but mostly a “brother” who loved His Lord and served Him well and
worshipped Him in spirit and in truth with his beautiful violin music.
We commit you to the Lord’s care and pray for His peace, comfort, love and hope to enfold you……Romans15:13

Irene and Roland, So sorry for loss, Bela was truly an outstanding servant of God, humility and servanthood so evident. We thank God for the good memories together with our families. Praying God’s peace and abundant love to cover you in this time of sorrow. Much love, the Muller Family.
We are so very sorry to hear of your loss Irene and Roland. We will always remember Bela’s passion for music and the beautiful songs he played on his violin for our Hungarian church services. Along with the choir he directed with great dedication. We will miss you, but we know that you are now praising the Lord in heaven and rejoicing with all the saints.
Részvétünk a családnak.
