January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970

Passed away on October 29, 2014 at Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 96. Born near Edmonton, Alberta in 1918 and has resided in Lake Country since 1936. Predeceased by his wife, Helen in 1989 and their daughter Doreen in 2006. Also predeceased by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by his son Ken (Carola) of Lake Country and his daughter Lorraine (John) of Maple Ridge; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, 1 brother and 1 brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. The service to be held at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to BC Cancer Society or your favourite charity.

    Lorraine and John, Ken and Carola and families. We are so sorry for your loss. Every September on the way down from Beaver Lake we would stop and have our “yearly” visit with Uncle Ruben. We treasured (and will cherish) those moments we were able to share with him. Uncle Ruben, you will be missed.
