LA, Deborah Kien
October 20, 1965 — March 13, 2017
With much sadness, our beloved Deborah Kien La, age 51, died after a fierce struggle with cancer at her home in Kelowna, BC on Monday, March 13, 2017.
Born October 20, 1965, in Haiphong, Viet Nam, Deborah and her family settled in Kelowna, BC in 1980. She obtained with honors her Bachelor of Science and studied Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia and completed a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Since graduation, Deborah has worked as a Pharmacist at Save-On Foods.
A kind and gentle soul, Deborah was a devoted protector of her family and was always passionate in helping her family and friends in any time of need. Her time was too short and she will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her remaining older siblings (three brothers and two sisters), her nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
