Passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the age of 83. Bertha is survived by her husband Roger; daughters Linda Cruden (Andy) of Nakusp and Georgina La Hue of Vancouver; sons Dan La Hue (Arlene) of Kelowna and Ricky La Hue (Lorie) of Vancouver; grandchildren Christine (Glenn) Chora, Richard (Zoy) Desormeaux, Tracy (James) Dodd, Andrew Cruden, Alisha (Richard) Corcoran, Tamara (Doug) Zeleznik, Jenna La Hue and Matthew and Lindsay Hoy; great grandchildren Justine and Taylor Sharples, Kyle and Courtney Chora, Maia and Alex Dodd, Bronwyn and Grace Cruden, Leacia Gerrard, and Kayla and Julia Zeleznik and Bailey McMillan; great great grandson Rylan Andersen; sister Liz Ferrier (Don) of Kelowna; brothers Clarence Boettger (Ruth) of Ottawa and Floyd Boettger (Patsy) of Revelstoke; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter Christina Desormeaux and son-in-law Paul Desormeaux, and sister Aileen Boettger. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Springfield Funeral Home Family Centre at 10:00 am. Donations may be made to Kelowna Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2Z6. Our deepest condolences to Uncle Roger, Linda, Georgina, Ricky, Danny & Christine & all your families. We really loved Auntie Bertha….. she was fiesty & funny & had a beautiful spirit. We know you will really miss her. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all.
God Bless Gramma. She is probably baking up a storm with her ever smiling face right now. How lucky her family was, especially Chris, Glenn, Courtney and Kyle to have had such an awesome gramma in your lives for so long. I hope the memories of all the funny things she did and said will help you through this difficult time.
