We Remember

LAFLECHE, Grace
March 23, 1937 — March 17, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Grace Lafleche. She passed away peacefully on March 17, 2021.
Grace is survived by her daughter Debra (Dean); son Chris (Karen); grandchildren Jennifer (Darren), James (Joanne), Justin, and Brendan (Kristina); and great-grandchildren Alex, Victoria, Julianna, Jaina, and Mason; as well as her “son” Dale. She also leaves many special nephews & nieces, cousins, and friends. Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Murray; son Douglas; parents Charles & Hilda Thompson. She was also the last of 11 siblings: Norrie, William, Gwen, Helen, Perry, Robert, John, Ann, Mary, and Marion.
Grace will always be remembered for her kind heart and loving ways; she was always there for family and friends. She struggled during the last few years, with health issues, and now is at peace. She will be forever in our hearts.

To Grace’s Family,
We were very fortunate to have known Grace since the 70’s. She was a wonderful friend, mother and wife to her family. The song title “Amazing Grace” says it all. She will be sadly missed. Hold on to your many wonderful memories of her. Love, Frank & Linda Matheson
Our deepest sympathies to all the family. Together you will get through these difficult times. Grace, I’ll miss your caring, generous person. You didn’t like to bother anyone but you had time to help everyone. I’ll miss our emails with the jokes and little notes. Now you are without pain and with Murray and Doug who will tease you nonstop I’m sure.
To Debbie and Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincere condolences.

As cousins growing up in Cornwall ON, all the times that we shared, pulling curlers from our hair, going to the racetrack and our birthdays two days apart. are fond memories that are most dear to my heart.

I am so sad to hear of Grace’s passing. My sincerest condolences to her family. I knew Grace from the KGH Gift Shoppe and from the Kelowna Hospital Auxiliary for several years. She was such a kind volunteer and a dedicated Auxilian. I have included a photo taken in 2011 with her then gift shop work mate Daryl.. I hope this photo comes through for her family to share. She will be missed. I apologize for the late inclusion of this message, but I have only just learned of her passing. Much love to all.
Sincerely,
Georgie Brown UE
Kelowna General Hospital Volunteer.
