We Remember
LANG, Debra Ann
June 23, 1961 — May 2, 2024
Debra Ann Lang, 62, of Lake Country, BC, suddenly passed away at the Kelowna General Hospital on May 2, 2024.
Debra was born in Calgary, AB, to the late Glenn & Rita (née Birston) Mitschke. The family moved from Calgary to Kelowna, BC in 1968, and Debra was raised amongst the lakes and orchards of the Okanagan Valley. While Debra became a bookkeeper, she was more defined by her passion for looking at Collector Cars and hearing the sound of a big block; how she liked to wear her steel-toe Flip-Flops; and of course, by her keen eye when shopping for bargains. She was a real animal lover. And, she especially enjoyed her vacations to Yuma and Los Algodones. She was one of a kind.
Debra will live on in the hearts of her fiancé, Bill; her son, Sheldon; daughter, Shantelle (Jordin); and her beautiful grandchildren, Fritz and Heinz. She will also be missed by her siblings Jo-ann and Ken (Cindy), as well as by her nieces and nephews, Tania (Chad), Jason (Michelle), C.J. (Amanda), and Ryan (Tanya).
A private service for family and close friends will be held to honour her, and her urn will be laid to rest.
