We Remember
LANGIN, Ferguson Robert
—
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ferguson Robert (Bob) Langin on May 1, 2015, in Kelowna. Bob, the son of Clifford and Rita Langin, was born in 1928 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is survived by his loving wife Geneva, his children Shaun (Sandra), Laurie (Brian), Greg (Nathalie), Geraldine (David), Grant (Laura), his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob also leaves his sister Marjorie Lindsay and brother Clifford (Jill), of Halifax and his cousin Margaret Mitchell (Ray). Sadly, Bob was predeceased by his first wife Isabella, son Bruce, brother Hugh and brother-in-law John Lindsay. A graduate of Dalhousie and Acadia Universities, Bob had a long and varied career in social work, community development and psychotherapy. His career took him from the Maritimes to the Canadian North and finally to Alberta before happily retiring with Geneva to his beloved “house on the hill” in West Kelowna. A memorial celebration will be held at Springfield Funeral Home in Kelowna on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the British Columbia Lung Association. If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

My heart is heavy at the news of Uncle Bob’s passing. We loved him dearly and remember fondly his laughter at my, “Hi guys!” Prayers for everyone. Wish I was able to be there Friday but you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh the wonderful memories of laughter, adventures, good conversations, breaking of bread and coffee in Ponoka. We will miss you and our hearts are breaking but you will always be remembered with love.
