We Remember

LANGLAND, Bonnie

August 22, 1947 — December 30, 2023

A Celebration of Life will be held on SATURDAY, MAY 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM (PDT), at the Ramada by Wyndham Kelowna Hotel & Conference Center, 2170 Harvey Ave, Kelowna, BC. There will be no livestream of this event.

Born on August 22, 1947, in Moose Jaw, SK, Bonnie Jeanne Langland passed peacefully on December 30, 2023.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Chris Jolly, and her two daughters, Sarah (Grant Couch) and Janel. She will also be missed by her eldest brother and sister-in-law, Ken & Susan Langland. Sadly, Bonnie was predeceased by her son, Jason (d. 2015).

Bonnie graduated from Riverside Collegiate in Prince Albert in 1965 and from the School of Nursing in Saskatoon in 1968. She then went on to obtain her master’s degree in nursing from UBC, and taught nursing at UBCO.

A beautiful, compassionate person, Bonnie provided her family, friends, and various communities with support, care plans, guidance, and never-ending love. She was spontaneously creative with a treasured sense of humour.

Bonnie will be tremendously missed and celebrated.

    Dear Chris, Sarah, and Janel,
It is with a heavy heart that I extend my condolences on the passing of your beloved wife and mother. Bonnie’s departure leaves a void that words can hardly fill, and the pain of her absence is felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Bonnie’s journey, from her roots in Moose Jaw to her contributions in the field of nursing, is a testament to a life well-lived and dedicated to others. Her compassion, love, and unwavering support touched the lives of her family, friends, and the communities she served. Her impact as a nurturing figure and a source of guidance will forever be cherished.
