We Remember

LAWRENCE, Jay David
March 30, 1977 — April 2, 2022
Jay David Lawrence passed away April 2, 2022, at age 45 in Kelowna, BC.
Jay was born on March 30, 1977, in Prince George, British Columbia. His mother, Judy Lawrence, and older sister, Trish, moved to Goldbridge, BC in 1979, where he spent his childhood surrounded by uncles, aunts, and cousins. Among some of his favourite childhood activities were skiidooing and dirt biking. Jay had faced many challenges throughout his life, but always found a way to laugh, smile, and maintain hope for the future. He was a hardworking individual who did his best to make time for his family and loved ones. Jay’s first daughter, Jenna Marie Lawrence, was born on July 18, 2000, in Edmonton, Alberta and his second, Amy Lee Lawrence, August 16, 2002, in Lethbridge, Alberta. His girls changed the way he looked at the world; although life wasn’t so kind as to give them the time they wanted together, he always carried them around with him in the form of photos in his wallet, a collage of pictures on his wall, and a big card his eldest daughter made him.
Jay will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He is survived by his mother Judy Lawrence; sister Trish Hough; niece Chantelle; nephews Rusty and Levi; daughters Jenna Lawrence and Amy Lawrence; and his granddaughter Ameena Marcia Berisa.
A service for Jay will be Livestreamed (see below)

Dear Judy and family: Many years have passed since you, Jay and Trish lived on Hess Rd. and you helped us at Little Gun Lake Lodge. We only knew Jay as a child, but what we remember was a sweet boy with a wonderful and determined spirit. We send you our deepest condolences.
