Kathe, there are no words that I can find to express our sincere sadness at losing your beautiful daughter. She lives on in her amazing children and they are so very fortunate to have you and Oliver to keep their mother alive for them.
My heart is breaking for your family. I will treasure the memories of all of us riding together and enjoying the freedom of being on our horses. You will be missed Jake.
I will always remember Jake for her fun loving spirit and sense of humour. I hadn’t seen her since we were teenagers, but I have often thought of her over the years and appreciated how much she could make me laugh. She was a dear friend in a time when I desperately needed one. May she rest in peace. My love and deepest sympathies go out to her family.
We will always remember Jake for her big soft gentle heart. Our family is very grateful to have known such a special young lady who only saw the good in people, she was always so supportive of everyone in the riding community. Heaven has gained an extra special angel who will always be looking out for her beloved children, family and friends. Condolences to her family RIP Jake

Please accept my deepest sympathies. Losing Jake is an unimaginable loss for her family and all those whom she has touched. I have so many wonderful childhood memories and I am so happy that I was able to see her a year ago with her beautiful children. Sending much love.
My dear Kathy. Words really cannot say enough about the sadness that anyone who knew Jake is feeling, nor about the profound heartbreak I am sure you have. I am wrapping my arms around you in thought, and I know that you have family and friends around you to keep you and Jake’s little ones safe.
Love to you all.
Amanda
Dear Kathy,
My sincerest condolences on behalf of our family, who used to be your Westbank neighbours. I especially have fond memories of the Mackenzie house growing up since your Uncle Jack started the house foundation on Whitworth road many years ago. Your Mom always considered us kids, and I remember getting the “best Easter treats” from her as a little girl. Being a friend of Jake’s nanny, I remember your place as always having an open door policy which made your house the coolest place; a fun place with popsicles, homemade ice cream as well as Gypsy running frantically up and down the beach barking at the waves as ski boats drove by. Jake played as a happy, carefree little girl. Those were wonderful memories and I thank you. Most of all, I will all remember the support that you gave me when my father was ill. I know that nothing any one can say can dull the pain at this time, but I wanted to let you and your family know that you made a difference in my life and you have many friends at this time.
All our best, Mel Hawes and Family

We had the joy of meeting Jake through our mutual love of horses, shortly after we moved to Kelowna. We will never understand why she befriended us, since we are both more than twice her age, but she did. Jake helped us so much on our journey with horses and life in a new city. She was so gentle, kind, and encouraging, with a wonderful sense of humour. Our hearts go out to her family and children. Jake, you will be missed.
