We Remember
LOGOS, Margaret “Del”
May 31, 1932 — December 6, 2023
On December 6, 2023, Del Logos passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years.
Del Logos grew up on the Home Farm outside Oak Lake, Manitoba, with her two surviving siblings Jack and Marie. Despite the challenges of the Depression era, Del’s upbringing was characterized by richness and abundance—filled with family, friends, community, and a farm that provided nourishment. Del always said she “never knew they were poor” as her life was rich in love, security, and practicality prevailed.
Del graduated as a registered nurse, married, and raised four children—Melanie, Jeffrey, Susan, and Ian. Her life was a testament to her practicality, curiosity, and penchant for embracing new experiences. Del found joy in her faith, hiking, skiing, camping, socials at the Elks, gardening, music, world travel, quilting, bowling, and volunteering at Vernon Hospice and All Saints Church in Vernon, BC.
Through her extensive community and family involvement, Del enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Kind, compassionate, and decisive, she offered grace and dignity as life unfolded. Del’s legacy will be carried forward by her two surviving siblings, four children, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
In celebrating her full, long life, we remember Del Logos with gratitude and affection.
There will be no service. Del will be laid to rest with her parents in Manitoba.

Condolences to the family. She was such a nice lady. She will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of Del’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time.
When you lose your best friend, it’s very difficult to express all your feelings of loss. I first met DEL and her family in Brandon Manitoba. And we were together again in Regina Calgary then finally Vernon BC.
She will always be missed. I want to thank Susan for helping keep us in touch during Del’s dementia. And I want to express my condolences to DEL‘s children, brother and sister.
