We Remember

LOSKE, Klaus Dieter

July 19, 1950 — April 7, 2023

On Friday, April 7, 2023, Klaus Loske, 72, passed away peacefully while resting at the Kelowna Hospice House.

Klaus goes to join his beloved partner, Marlene Belluz; his dearly missed son, Dieter Loske; his dear sister, Gabriel Emes; and his caring parents, Wilma & Kurt Loske.  Left to remember him and hold him in their hearts include, his daughters Ambre Brewster (Brad Brewster) & Rebecca Loske (Colton Zvydervelt-Attew) and his grandchildren, of whom Klaus was a very proud Opa, Owen, Addyson, Ethan, & Kamilla. His nieces and nephews will also miss their loving uncle: Ricky, Jenny, Kevin, & little Gary Dunlop; little Justin Smith; Lindsay & Tracy Taylor; Megan Brown; Brandon & Tyler Belluz; and Tanja & Lia Cordes.

Born in the summer of 1950 in Patterborn, Germany, Klaus emigrated with his family when he was 12 years old. Throughout his teen years and his twenties, he lived in Toronto, ON. After meeting Marlene, they moved west of the city to Eden Mills, ON, then slightly further west again to Guelph, ON to raise their family.

As avid skiers, both Klaus and Marlene lived out their dream of retiring in British Columbia, on a mountain with a ski hill, Big White. Klaus was also a passionate golfer and was a member at the Harvest Golf Course for 5 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kelowna Hospice House or your local animal shelter.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Klaus on SUNDAY, APRIL 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at THE HARVEST GOLF CLUB, 2725 K. L. O. Rd, Kelowna, BC.

We had so many laughs and good times over the years that we knew Klaus. During the year of Covid was especially memorable because I think the three of us spent every birthday and holiday together that year (our little bubble ). You will be greatly missed, Klaus! Rest easy dear friend.

  • Robert Mcgregor says:

My condolences to the Loske family and relatives
and friends on the passing of Klaus. He is my life long friend and I will miss very much.

  • Samantha says:

Klaus was a wonderful human being. Kind and always happy considering his great loss. My partner Alex and I used to walk Deetz and Max for him when we lived at Big White so he could go golfing or spend time with his family in town. He will be missed.
