We Remember

LOWE, Rickey

February 14, 1945 — September 30, 2015

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Rickey Alan Lowe at age 70 on September 30, 2015 after a brief illness. Rick was born February 14, 1945 to Arthur and Verona Lowe in Princeton, BC.

Rick spent most of his life in the Okanagan Valley exploring the back country while hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He grew up in Penticton and owned the Okanagan Drapery Mart, serving the Kelowna area in the 1980s.  Rick moved with his family to live in Grande Prairie, AB for a few years and returned to the valley, to Ashton Creek where he was retired for the last 10 years.

Rick was predeceased in December by his wife Linda of 47 years. He is survived by his son Rick (Krista) Lowe, daughter Deena (Bill) Lewis and his 5 grandchildren, Christopher (Krysta), Cody, Amanda, Tristan and Chance. Also survived by his siblings, Fred (Carol) Lowe, Gerry (Norma) Lowe, Lori (Roli) Sanderson, sister-in-law Louise along with many other family and friends. Rick was predeceased by his brother Ted.

Heartfelt thanks to his nephew, Terry Lowe for providing such good care in his last hours.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm October 17, 2015 at Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall, 1197 Main Street, Penticton, BC. Please dust off your favorite memories of Rick to bring and share!
