We Remember
LUCHAK, Stanley
May 18, 1931 — February 2, 2021
Our beloved Stan Luchak, 89 years, of Kelowna, BC, passed away on February 2, 2021 in Kelowna, BC. Stan passed away peacefully in his home in Winfield and goes to join his beloved Frieda. His legacy is carried on by his sons Stan Jr. (Lynn), Brian (Laura), Rick (Tamara), Brad (Noreen), and Daryl (Amy); his grandchildren Shawn, Christine (Kevin), Steven (Angie), Kyle (Jenna), Ryan (Felisha), Cam (Tina), and Jamie (Chase); and his great-grandchildren Megan, Emma, Breanna, Simon, Mary, Logan, Rachael, Liam, Sophia, and Olivia. He is also survived by his siblings Gloria Shape, Doug Luchak, and William “Bill” Luchak. He was sadly predeceased by Patricia Ewasko, Gladys Zimmel, Don Luchak, Monica Luchak, Lyle Luchak, and of course our mom and his loving wife, Frieda.
Born in Vegreville, AB on May 18, 1931, Stan met Frieda at Barrhead High School, and they were married on November 22, 1948. Stan spent many years in the oil and gas industry before retiring to Winfield, BC in 1993. Retirement allowed Stan and Frieda to enjoy many winters in Yuma, Arizona. He also had a passion for golf (though he never counted all of his strokes).
Stan will be missed dearly.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

This is without a doubt sad! I had known Stan Luchak senior since I was about 9 years old, and remember their going to their house in Drayton Valley, Calgary, and Windfield. My condolences to all family and freinds.

Sending our Condolences to Luchak family.
Stan will be missed by all who knew him, he was an active volunteer in Holiday Park Resort in Kelowna, and spent many hours volunteering at their golf course. We were so blessed to have called him our friend…Bernie and Shirley Parchewsky
So sorry to hear of Stan’s passing. Just saw him in the golf cart a few weeks ago. We sure enjoyed Stan at the little golf course and all the functions he attended. He will be missed.
Dear Luchak family. Your loss is great and my heart reaches for you. I remember Stan as a warm, kind and thoughtful man. He missed his Frieda so! May every memory be your comfort.
