We Remember
LUCIER, Marjorie Doris (née Squires)
—
We lost Marlie way too soon to cruel cancer. She passed peacefully on October 8, 2019. Marlie is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 29 years, Barry; her children Michael and Angela; her grandchildren Tanner and Haleah; her sisters Lorraine (Gene) Ploughman and Barb (Garry) Goebel; and her many nieces and nephews.
Marlie was the strongest lady we had the privilege of sharing our lives with. She always thought of her family before herself. She gave willingly of her whole heart and soul. Marlie’s positive attitude was evident in her favourite saying, “you can make lemonade out of lemons”. She had her trip of a lifetime to her beloved hometown of Clarenville, Newfoundland a few months ago and was so thrilled to have done so.
Donations in her memory can be made to Hospice House Kelowna, 2035 Ethel Street, hospicehousekelowna.com; she called it her “Shangri-la”.
If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.
Rest peacefully dear Marlie – you are truly in our hearts forever.
