We Remember

LYTLE, Betty

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the age of 95.  Born in Nakusp, BC on January 14, 1918 to George Pulsipher and Bertha Susan Horsley.  Betty resided in Nakusp for 32 years and married Lawrence F. Ward in 1933 with whom she raised five children: Raymond Ward (Peggie) both deceased, Terry Ward (Donna), Beverley Moore (Doug), Brenda McDowell (Barry, deceased), Janice McPherson (Jay); 17 grandchildren: Laurie, Darrell, Ronald, Rick, Bradley, Teresa, Raymond, Maureen, Glenn, Michael, Sharon, Brent, Denise, Steven, Bryan, Clinton and Terry; 38 great grandchildren; 18 great, great grandchildren and her sister Anita Harrison (Biz).  Predeceased by her first husband Larry Ward and second husband Delmas (Bud) Lytle.  A very special thank you to the staff and care givers at the Central Okanagan Hospice House for your compassion during Mom’s three month stay.  You have gone above and beyond in your help to her and her family.  A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 12th at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.  Cremation and interment at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1589 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 5Y7.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
