We Remember
MACAHUSAY, Harold
October 16, 1988 — June 15, 2021
It is with shattered hearts and disbelief that we have to share the news that Harold died suddenly and unexpectedly on June 15, 2021.
Harold was born in the Philippines on October 16, 1988. On June 13, 2013, sponsored by his mother, he came to Kelowna, BC, Canada with his brother Jipsy.
After a year, he went back to the Philippines and married his college sweetheart Rosiegen Culanag on April 22, 2014. After returning to Canada, they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Rheansy Blaire, who was born on January 10, 2015.
Harold worked as a Care Aid at Glenmore Lodge and Spring Valley Care Center. He was a hardworking and caring man who loved singing and playing basketball. His smile and sense of humor were well known. He gained lots of friends in the Filipino Community in Kelowna.
He is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Rosiegen; his daughter Blaire; mother Grace (Jose) Zelaya; brother Jipsy (Charlane) Macahusay; his parents-in-law; his many extended family members in the Philippines; as well as his many friends and coworkers.
A Funeral Service will be held to honor Harold with Pastor Cam Koronko officiating, due to the current pandemic restrictions, the service will be by invitation only. The family would like to invite all who want to pay their respects to join online by Livestream on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 30, 2021, AT 4:00 PM PDT (see below). A recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.
