To Maureens Family
How sad to hear of her passing. Maureen was one of the first Social Workers I ever had dealing with my special needs son. She was so dedicated and she was such a wonderful person. Heaven just gained another angel.
Don & Nelson
We are thinking of you at this time of terrible loss. Treasure your memories.

I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Maureen. I worked with her as a team leader when she was the team leader for the CYSN team here in Kelowna and then I took over from her when she moved onto the Quality Assurance team with MCFD. CYSN was a new postition for me and she was always there to answer my questions and provide me assistance in learning about the services the CYSN team provided to the children with special needs. She was a wonderful person and a valued colleague. My thoughts and prays are with you.
Don, Nelson and family .. our condolences to all of you..Maureen was such an awesome and wonderful lady to work with. She is someone I respected greatly.
Don,I was so sad to read of Maureen’s passing. She had such a beautiful smile that would light up the room. We will miss her presence at the support group meetings. Sincerely, Donna & Gerry Mitzel

It was with deep sadness that we heard of Maureen’s passing. I personally have worked with Maureen for many years in the Ministry. We had many good times and I will miss her forever sunny, positive and cheerful disposition. She was one of the finest social workers I had the privilege to work with. All of us in the South Okanagan Ministry family would like to express our deepest sympathy. The social work community has lost a treasure.
I have just learned of Maureen passing. I wanted to share how wonderful and caring she was to the children I have taken care of. She would always ensure safety for kids and was a top notch woman. I will miss her and so will all of the children she has helped.
