We Remember
MACKENZIE, Ina Margaret (nee Walker)
May 21, 1926 — July 14, 2014
Ina MacKenzie passed away gracefully in her sleep on July 14, 2014. Predeceased by loving husband Norman MacKenzie. Survived by two loving sons Darryl and Jim and families.
Mom left us this note we`d like to share.
“For my Family –
Please don`t feel bad at my going, for I have had a good life and have been fortunate to be loved as one only dreams of being loved
……. by my husband, by my two sons, my daughters-in-law, and my precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
You have all been so very good to me. I pray God may truly bless you all, for the love and kindness you have shown me. Never forget how much I love you – all of you.“
We love you too Mom and miss you terrifically.
Donation to Heart and Stroke fund in lieu of flowers would be appreciated. For those wishing to send a condolence, photos or share memories, may do so by scrolling down this page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
Darryl, Jim and families,
Your Mom had been on my mind lately, in fact, just last week sent off an email to her. Upon reading the Journal this morning I understand why there wasn’t a response….please accept my sincere condolences.
Ina died a year to the day after my husband John. Both your Mom and Dad were known to us. Ina and I worked together for a number of years with Health and Welfare Canada in the New Horizons program. She was more than a co-worker to me, she was a true and valued friend.
Her note to you emphasised how much she loved you and how extremely proud she was of all of you.
I’m honoured to have been numbered among her company of friends of whom she had many.
A donation has been made to the Heart and Stroke foundation in Ina’s memory.
