We were profoundly saddened when Neils told us of Carol’s passing, realizing that days of laughter and good times with her could not be anticipated, only cherished as memories.
If you’re lucky enough to be among those to whom she shined her light of affection, then you know you were genuinely warmed.
To be sure, Carol had a great sense of humour. She saw clearly life’s absurdity, and could tell stories to make you double over. Both Jacqui and I recall with fondness those many times spent together. She was intelligent, sensitive, artistic, and sincere.
Our deepest sympathies go to Niels, Shauna and Ashley. She will be sorely missed by all who cared about her and we’ll count ourselves among those fortunate enough to feel her love. Dear Carol, we love you and will miss you forever.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have many, many fond memories of Carol, which I’ll cherish forever. She was one of the smartest, funniest and most genuine people I’ve ever known and she will be missed by her many friends. I hope she has found peace.

Shauna, I’m so sorry for your loss. I have never seen a mother/daughter relationship as warm and beautiful as the one I had the privilege of witnessing between you and your mom. We were at an age that is typically not known for its closeness to parents. Carole was a mom to all of us in those days when you were bringing home ‘strays’ . I will always be grateful that I got to be one of those strays and there aren’t enough words to tell you how much she showed me about what kind of parent I wanted to be. I’ll always hold you both close to my heart as well as Uncle Mike. My deepest condolences also to Ashley and Niels. Please contact me anytime that feels right for you. I think of you often and hope you are surrounded by love and support as you grieve your mom who I know was your dear friend through everything. I’m sending al my love.

Oh Carol…..we had so much left to do after re-connecting a few years ago. I have such fond memories of our time together, constantly plotting and scheming weekend plans. never a dull moment, so much fun together !
Your love for your family and friends was undeniable…I feel so blessed and fortunate to have had you in my life. RIP my dear friend, I love you !
