We Remember

MADDESS, CJ
May 28, 1941 — October 19, 2022
The family of CJ Maddess sadly announce his passing, at the age of 81, on October 19, 2022. At the time, he was surrounded by family and love. CJ was loving, kind, good-natured, and he loved the Lord with all his heart. He is survived by, and will be deeply missed by, his family: Barbara, his wife of 42 years; his children and their partners Daniel & Lesia, Laura & Steve, Michael & Evangeline, and Alana & Brent; his nine grandchildren Keira, Braedon, Stephanie, Samantha, Shelby, Jack, Erin, Clare, and Teagan; and his six great-grandchildren; as well as his brother, Garry, and sister-in-law, Gem.
Born in North Vancouver, BC, CJ moved, with Barbara, to Kelowna, BC 25 years ago, in 1997. He was social, active, and a devoted family man; he was in to playing golf and tennis, and going deep sea fishing, and he really enjoyed the time he spent with his friends. Good with his hands, CJ was always building things.
Rest in Peace, CJ.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
At CJ’s request, no formal service will be held.

CJ worked with my father and two older brothers in the car business. I was too young to have known him personally. I know I can speak on their behalf that he will be missed by them and many others. Sorry for your loss.
I knew CJ for 34 years. He loved life and was a kind and generous man. My world was enriched by having CJ in my life. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Sorry to hear of your loss Barb. I grew up with and went to school with the Maddess boys in north vancouver years ago. Take care. Bob Walker
