Jacqueline Diane Madsen, daughter of Jack and Betty Smith, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2015 at the age of 77 years, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her sons Neil (Judy) of Winfield, Gordon of Revelstoke and Devin of Winfield; grandchildren: Brittney, Justin, Jack and Thomas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Neil Christopher; parents Jack and Betty Smith; her brother Gordon and sister Florence. Jacqueline was a proud enthusiastic business owner and farmer. She lived her life to the fullest on her own accord. Family was most important to her and she loved spoiling her grandchildren. Her passion in life was raising her horses. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. A special thank you to all the nurses, staff and volunteers of the Central Okanagan Hospice House and her long-time dear friend Dr. Michael Shepherd, for your kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 2Z6.
