We Remember
MAGNONE, Marilyn Diane
—
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Diane Magnone (née Perry), who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her daughters, on August 6, 2026, at Mission Creek Landing in Kelowna, at the age of 82.
Marilyn was born on May 3, 1944, at home in Vancouver and grew up in Kelowna and attended Kelowna Secondary. She married Michael Magnone and had two daughters Michelle and Kendra.
Marilyn was a hard worker who adored her family, and becoming a grandmother brought her tremendous joy. Her grandchildren, Adam, Ben, and Abigayle, could do no wrong in her eyes. She loved them wholeheartedly and was immensely proud of each of them.
Marilyn is lovingly survived by her daughters, Michelle (Craig) Dugmore and Kendra (Calvin) Magnone; her grandchildren, Adam, Ben, and Abigayle; her brother, Ken Perry; and a dear group of longtime friends who will miss her very much.
She was predeceased by former husbands Michael Magnone and Jack Thompson; her brother, Douglas Perry; and her parents, Marion and Richard Perry.
Marilyn will be remembered for her independence and determination, her remarkable work ethic, her reliability, and her ability to find humour in life. She built businesses, raised her daughters, treasured her grandchildren, maintained friendships across the decades, and created a life filled with family, hard work, and adventures.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Family and friends will each honour Marilyn in their own ways. No formal service will be held.
Michelle and Kendra would like to thank the staff of Mission Creek Landing for the comfort they provided their mother.
