MAGUIRE, Bette Elaine (née McBride)

February 18, 1933 — January 3, 2019

Loving mother of Michael Edward, Robert Kenneth, Laura Jane Golan (née Maguire) and Timothy Warren. Cherished grandmother of Sean Marshall Maguire, Einav Golan Baron, Anna Claire Maguire, Maya Golan and Gillian Margaret Maguire passed away on January 3, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 16 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5V8. Eternally grateful to Dr. Martin Steinruck and the staff at Missionwood Retirement Resort for their care and consideration over the years.     Dear Maguire’s and Friends of my Grandmother:
    I am sorry that I could not be there, I am sending some old photos I found along with my sincerest condolences.
    I will focus on the positives and tell you that most of my fondest memories were visiting my Grandpa, Grandpa amd Tosha the border collie on Anarchist Mountain with my Parents as a child.
    My Grandmother taught me all of the intricacies of baking sweets, how to make freezer jam and how to set a dining-room table properly! 🙂
    When I was very young I remember happy days when on a few occasions all of the family could be together at Christmas or Thanksgiving. Those are cherished memories.
    I will always remember you Grandma for trying to keep us all in line…the best you knew how to.
    I know now that you rest with your Son, Michael (my Father) as well as my Mother, Debby. They both loved and respected You very much through thick and thin.

    To all Betty’s family,
    Deepest sympathy to all of you in the loss of Betty.
    May memories of the lovely lady she was and all the talents she had in her life console you at this time. She lived a long and vibrant life and she was enjoyed by her many friends at Missionwood Resort. She will be missed.
