I know Wilf thru many visits at his apt. complex on Hollywood while he was doing many visits and repairs with my Mom and Reg. He was wonderful to visit with and always busy with doing something.
I know Mom and Reg will miss him dearly and will have a toast to him in Hawaii where they are now so won’t be able to be at attendence at McCurdy Bowl.
He’ll me missed around the complex and deepest thoughts to all his family. May his memories always keep a smile in your heart
Val
Wilf, you will be so missed by so many. We will all be holding such good memories close to our hearts. The tears and sadness that these memories are bringing us now will some day bring fewer tears and bring more smiles. You have touched so many with your love of music, your love of life, your love for your family, and your love for your friends. Rest in peace Wilf knowing how much you were loved right back by all. xo
We will always be thankful for our time spent with Wilf and the stories he had to tell. RIP dear friend.
Will miss your friendship and many stories. Rest in peace my friend.
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Wilf and I became “working” friends over the last few years because of his position on his buildings strata council. He was a thoughtful, funny and caring man. Whenever he would call to say he was on his way to my office I always made extra time to just “talk”. He was very knowledgeable on an array of subjects and always made me laugh. He will be missed by everyone here at Pacific Western Fire.I wish you, his family and all his friends peaceful memories.
Wilf was a sweet man and a very devoted father. He will be very missed.
Wilf was the music teacher who inspired me to go for it. I’m forever grateful. Thank you Wilf.
To the family of the Late Wilfred “Bud” Manning. My deepest sympathy to you all in the loss of your Dad. He is finally free from all pain. I will miss his yearly visits as I’m sure you will.
Sincerely, in Love and Friendship.
I wish to send my deepest condolences to you Alison and your family. Your father was blessed to have you by his side in his final days.

Sorry to hear of Wilf’s passing. He will be remembered in the bowling and music communities. Best wishes to family and friends.
Wilfred will be surely missed at the bowling alley as well as the Kelowna rocket hockey games. I also had him as a teacher at Rutland jr and sr schools. I always enjoyed talking to him at McCurdy.
just finding this now. My thoughts are with all of you. Wilf was a good friend. I am so sorry for your loss and mine.
Dear Manning Family:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our father. My husband and I have known Wilf since 1967 when we both took a band music class at Widdifield High School in North Bay. Eventually we both joined the Widdified Concert Band. We graduated from high school in 1972. We’ve kept touch with Wilf sporadically over the years until moving to the Okanagan. Wilf attended 2 of our 3 children’s high school graduation and our 30th wedding anniversary. We most recently saw Wilf at the end of August 2013. He will remain in our thoughts as a positive, humorous, engaging man who taught music and ‘life’! Kind regards,
Chris and Marg Parfitt
I have just returned home to the sad news. What a life Wilf Jr. had! One of a kind person, like all the Mannings are. Hugs to you all from Kelowna.
Sorry to hear the loss of your Dad. He was a great Music Teacher at Widdifield Secondary School.
Hello Alison: Is there going to be memorial service in Brantford this month? Please let me know.
Thank you,
David Story
I just now found out about Mr. Mannings’s passing in the North Bay Nugget. I was a music student of Mr. Manning from 1965-1969 at Widdifield S.S. He was one of my most memorable and favourite teachers. In those first years of the opening of W.S.S. we were a small and tight knit family. I recall with such fondness and vividness, his patience, his humour, his passion for music and teaching music, but most of all, his genuine joy in communicating and instilling this passion with his students. Wilf was a very special person and I will remember him dearly, always.
Wilf is one of the most memorable teachers I ever had. At Widdifield he took away the clarinet I had played for two years and replaced it with a french horn which I went on to play in two symphonies and a band after high school. He was a very motivating and supportive man and was a huge influence on me. I was very fortunate to attend the family celebration of life at Andra’s home in Brampton. I am very thankful that Alison continues to be my friend to this day. My condolences to all. He will be missed.
I am sorry to be so late with our condolences. Robin and I had the privilege to get to know Wilf through his competing in the USBC Open Championships. We will miss him.
As all who knew your Dad, Adrienne, we hold many fond memories in our hearts. I am sure he is sharing his love of music with friends and family in another place.
