We Remember
MARCHAND, Yvette Marguerite (née Bilodeau)
November 3, 1928 — June 25, 2023
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected death of our mother, Yvette, surrounded by her Mission Creek Landing (MCL) family. She was predeceased by her husband Len. Her family was her proudest accomplishment. Her children, Terry(Wayne) Bevington, Chris (Bradford) Bentley, Jim (Carol) Marchand, Carol (Steve) Soames, and Michael Marchand, her many grandchildren and ever-growing number of great-grandchildren. The only other things she may have loved almost as much were her Bridge games, which she was able to enjoy right up to the Friday before her death, and her wine. Mum also enjoyed reading and traveling, especially her road trips with Dad to Reno.
The family would like to thank Dr. Z. Hendricks for his assistance in caring for Mum with her arm and hip breaks in 2019-2020 along with the amazing administration and staff of her final home at MCL. She was very content, it was easy to see how loved she was by the staff and recreation team.
At her request, a Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 11:00 am at St Charles Garnier Parish, 3645 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna, BC. A reception at the church will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of BC, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.
