We Remember
MARKIN, Helen Annetta (née Trautner)
—
Beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and spouse.
Helen Annetta Markin (née Trautner) passed away peacefully at the age of 82, due to ongoing health conditions on the sunny morning of April 21, 2021. Helen enjoyed 58 years of marriage with her beloved husband Nicholas, where she enjoyed every day telling him what to do. She also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, playing crib, watching curling, drinking wine, putting Wheel of Fortune on repeat for all of her guests to enjoy, and viewing the news broadcast 15 times a day.
She is survived by her three daughters Corey, Nikki, and Kathy; her sons-in-law Mike and Robert; her five granddaughters Jessie, Leila, Kiah, Dani, and Julia; her grandson Jaxon; and her two great-granddaughters Madilynn and Mackenzie. Her family is comforted knowing that she is with her husband, fishing on the ocean, and likely making a bigger catch than him every time.
The fond memories we have shared with her will forever live on in our minds, her stubbornness in our traits, and her love in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
