We Remember
MARTIN, Jeanette Louise
July 2, 1937 — March 15, 2019
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother Jeanette Martin at 81 years of age.
Jeanette was born in New Westminster BC, grew up on Vancouver Island, moved to Salmon Arm in 1967 where she worked and resided until 1992; she retired to Kelowna to enjoy the warmth of the Okanagan.
She is survived by her children Dennis McKone, Colleen Cederholm, Michael McKone and Gloria Couture; she was predeceased by her son Thomas McKone in 2017. Jeanette leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jeanette will be missed by her family and many friends, especially the social groups with which she was involved such as the Kelowna Lioness Club, The Red Hat Society and the many organizations to which she volunteered her time. She will be remembered fondly for her sense of humor and a lovely smile with which she greeted everyone.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kelowna BC on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.

To my deepest condolences to the family of Jeanette Martin. We’ve nown jeanette over 20 years and she was and will continue to be a pillar of strength for our family. We will always remember her vibrant personality, smile, kindness and her devoted time to all of her volunteer work in the community. She provided us strength to our family and was always there when we needed her. Loved the many hours we spent together and the moments will be cherished in our hearts forever. She will always be remembered in our family as a beautiful angel watching over everyone she loved and cherished.
My sincere condolences to Jeanette’s family. I worked with Jeanette for several years in Home Support & appreciated her friendship & her caring heart for the many people she helped in that occupation. She was a cheerful person & will be sadly missed. Deepest sympathy from Marlene

We have just received the sad news of your dear mother’s passing. … ( still feel in shock ) she never let on that she was ill when we last spoke on the phone She was always full of zest for life…. laughing and ready for the next adventure !! Enderby will miss her as well… Her connection to her friends here – whether it be us in our Red Hats, the garden club… or the Art Gallery… She touched ALOT of lives and truly left us with some precious memories.
