We Remember

McCOOK, Joseph Robert

November 22, 1982 — December 25, 2025

Joseph Robert McCook, age 43, passed away on Christmas Day. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Joseph spent his final days in Lake Country, BC.

Joseph — known lovingly as Joey — was gifted with many talents. From a young age, he was an exceptional artist and went on to excel in every sport he participated in. He lived life fully and found his greatest joy outdoors, especially fishing, boating, camping, and riding his Harley-Davidson.

Above all else, Joey loved his children more than life itself.  He also shared an exceptionally close and loving bond with his mother — one built on deep love, trust, and unwavering support that remained a constant source of strength throughout his life.

Joseph is survived by his children, Alexis Mersky and Jaxon McCook; his mother, Diane McCook (Cherry); his father, Bryan McCook; his sister, Janine Stanton (Brandon); his nephew, Nate; and his niece, Emma. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Tyler McCook, who passed away at 8 months old.

Joey will be remembered for his many talents, his adventurous spirit, and most of all, his deep and unconditional love for his children, family, and many friends.

Ride free, Joey. Ride in peace! Forever loved and never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association — Kelowna.
