We Remember
MCCORMICK, May
September 28, 1920 — April 20, 2018
Ada (May) McCormick, 97, of Kelowna, B.C. formerly of Camrose, Alberta, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2018, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, John Alexander “Red” McCormick in 2004, sister Edith Harrison, brother Stanley Garrick and son in law Patrick Hannigan. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Hannigan, son Roderick John “Roy” McCormick (Caroline), and daughters Penny Puzanoski (Wally), Shelley Christie (Greg), Karen Simpson (Ron), and will be remembered with great fondness by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born May Garlick on September 28, 1920 in Lawson, Saskatchewan, she attended Central Collegiate Institute in Moose Jaw and married Red in January 1942. She raised their first child alone while he served with the Canadian Forces overseas during WWII. In the ensuing years, four more children were born, and the family resided in Calgary and later in Camrose, Alberta where they owned Tip Top Men’s Shop. May was a loving mother and wife, an energetic and resourceful member of the community and a devoted member of the Church.
She will be greatly missed by all and the memory of her kind and patient spirit and her unwavering love and support will be forever cherished.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 5010 48A Ave, Camrose, AB at a later date with Interment to follow.
