We Remember
MILLIGAN,Gary Edward
February 9, 1942 — September 10, 2016
Passed away tragically on September 10, 2016 at the age of 74 after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. Survived by his loving wife Ella of 37 years, sons Jerry (Sherry) of Medicine Hat, AB and Shane (Lisa) of Kelowna, BC, 5 grandchildren Richard, Lindsey, Stephen, Grace and Sophie, 2 great grandchildren, 6 sisters and 6 brothers. Predeceased by his parents Ray and Vi, brothers David and Glen and sister Marg.
Gary was born in Carrot River, SK on February 9, 1942. He moved to Kelowna in 1969 and was so proud to live here. Gary was a kind and gentle soul who loved to help people and tell you stories. He owned and operated Milligan Auto Body for almost 30 years and unfortunately suffered several health issues immediately after selling the shop; however, due to his determined mind and never giving up, he overcame these medical problems, including kidney disease by receiving a very successful kidney transplant in 2014 which he was so grateful for. Gary also loved his animals, dogs at first and then his cats especially his little guy Tommy, even the chickens always became pets and always died a natural death. Rest in Peace Gary, you will be greatly missed!
We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at KGH ICU for trying so hard to bring Gary back to us and for all the compassion and caring.

Ella and family
Shocked and saddened to hear of Gary’s untimely passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult of times.
Our deepest sympathies & condolences to you Ella & to the entire family during this sad time.
Our thoughts are with you at this so sad time.
Ella, we are so sorry for your loss. The love and commitment that you and Gary shared was obvious and spending time with the two of you was always a happy time. We will not be able to attend the service for Gary due to prior commitments. Gary and Al grew up together and shared a friendship that spanned a lifetime. They were able to reconnect again this August and we are grateful to the Milligan family for including us in their family reunion celebrations. Gary was a good friend and will be remembered. God Bless.
Gary was a true friend. He painted every car we had and our daughter’s also.
He was always there for us. Always happy, always kind, and always smiling.
You made the world a better place Gary.
Ella and family can be so very proud of him.
May God Bless and Keep you during this time.
Harvey and Fran
