We Remember

Mitchell, Austin James

July 29, 1996 — October 2, 2022

Those we have held in our arms for a little while, we hold in our hearts forever.

The time has come for us to say goodbye. It was a long, hard road for you, but too short of a trip for those you left behind.  May your next journey be easier than the last. You are finally at peace and the suffering is over. Until we meet again, my son, I will always look for you in the brightest star to say goodnight.

Austin is survived by his father Roy; his mother Terry; his stepparents; grandparents; siblings; and all of his extended family.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to mental health/addiction services would be appreciated, BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services.

A private family service will follow at a later date.

Please accept our condolences. We only knew Austin when he was very young, and we remember a happy, energetic and curious little boy. this photo was taken at the little tunnel above Naramata in 2004 – Austin is giving 2 thumbs up for the camera.
