MITCHELL, James
April 3, 1987 — February 18, 2012
Our beloved James was taken from us too soon. He was loved by all those he touched. Even though Jamie lived in Calgary, he was a true B.C. boy who loved the B.C. Lions and the Vancouver Canucks. He passed away in Calgary on Saturday, February 18 at the age of 24. Predeceased by his maternal grandfather Fred Coe and his paternal grandmother Joyce Mitchell; he has left behind his father Ed Mitchell (Leslie); mother Sheila Coe (Harvey); sisters D’arcy (Dalton), Susan (Elton), niece Danica; grandfather Al Mitchell; grandmother Phyllis Coe; step sister Stacey; step brother Brian and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service to be held at Willow Park Church on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Should family and friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Willow Park Church (The Ark), 439 Highway 33, Kelowna, BC, V1X 1Y2.

Jamie had a contagious smile, and a big heart. He loved his parents and family deeply. He had some struggles, as we all have, but those struggles should never be what defines us. I will remember Jamie for the joy he always brought to my presence. I mourn his passing with the deepest sadness.
Please know I’m thinking of you all and will keep you in my prayers.

There are no words that can describe a loss of someone so young with so much life and love to live. He will be missed and my prayers are with family and friends at this time.

His great personality, infectious smile and laugh and generous nature made him a good friend to so many. I have such great memories of a such a good young fellow! Ed, Jack called me on the weekend to tell me of Jamie’s sudden passing and that he and Mitch had attended the service. I just want to say how very sorry and saddened both Sandi and I are to hear of this news, and that our thoughts are with you and family.

I just learned of Jamie’s passing and I want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I taught him in Grade 2 and he was one of my all time favourite students.
