We Remember
MORI, Satoshi
February 21, 1933 — October 28, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa Satoshi (Sat) Mori on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the age of 91.
Sat was born and raised in Kelowna, British Columbia. He worked on the family farm as a youngster, and later in the greenhouses. On November 29, 1975, Sat married Yemiko and lived in Ellison while owning and operating an orchard in Westbank. In 1990, Sat and Yemiko built a house and moved the family onto that orchard. In 2008, Sat and Yemiko moved into Glenmore, their forever home.
Sat loved gardening, skiing, and fishing and always looked forward to his annual fall fishing trips to the Shuswap.
He will forever be loved and missed by his four children Carelyn (Wayne), Wade (Kelly), Janice, and Brenda (Jason); his grandchildren, Jordan, Robynne (Max), Christopher (Emily), Isabella, Mackenzie, Sophia, Nathan, Hannah, and Alexandria; and his great-grandchildren Victoria and Parker; his sister-in-law Miyeko (Howard); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Sat was predeceased by his wife Yemiko; parents Shigeru and Kazu; brothers Hikaru (Chic), Akira (Shorty), Teruo (Ted), and Minoru (Min); sisters Emiko and Mieko (Mae).
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that you make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Canada or make a gift to the Kidney Foundation.
As per Sat’s wishes, there will be no service.
