We Remember
MOSER, Roy
September 1, 1926 — February 3, 2018
Passed peacefully at 91 years of age. Born in Richmound on the flatlands of Saskatchewan. The middle child of 13. Survived by 1 sister.
Predeceased by wife Evelyn in 1991 and son Alan in 1958. He is survived by his aging children: Ron (Arlene) of Summerland, Jerry of Grande Prairie, Bonnie (Paul) of Kelowna, Roxie (Doug) of Grande Prairie; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and with 12 siblings you can only imagine how many nieces, nephews and families there are.
When Roy was in his early twenties, he and his brother Frank left their parents farm and drifted to BC working in logging camps along the way and then on to Penticton, from there, Dad went to Kelowna where he met our Mother, Evelyn Metz. They were married on December 26, 1948 and went back to the home farm for a lovely 50 below honeymoon! That Spring they rented land to start farming on their own. That didn’t pan out very well, so they moved to Dodsland, Saskatchewan and farmed there. In 1961 they auctioned everything off and moved to Westbank on October 31 (Halloween). No tricking….that was a treat!
There will be no service.
A big thank you to The Village at Smith Creek and all the staff for all they have done for Dad and his family.
