We Remember

NAITO, John
—
With great love, respect, and sadness, we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa, John Naito on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the age of 89. He will forever be loved and missed by his wife of 64 years, Emma; his four children Randy (Chris), Greg, Russell (Christine), and Donna (Bob); his grandchildren, Lindsay (Aaron), Michael, Spencer, Amanda, Mitchell, (Stephanie), Madison (Nav), Lisa (Chris), and Julie (Tison); and his great grandson Luke.
John was a gentleman, a humble man of integrity and strength with a good sense of humour, who put others before himself. He worked tirelessly to always provide for his family. His marriage to Emma was a testament of true love.
John was a family man. He was so proud of his children and their spouses. He would always have a smile on his face when talking about his beautiful grandchildren and how they had all grown up to be loving, kind, and thoughtful young men and women.
Playing sports himself while growing up, he continued to watch his children and then his grandchildren participate in a wide variety of activities. Cheering from the sidelines or in the stands, Grandpa and Granny were their number one fans. With knowledge and enthusiasm, John was always up for a good conversation about sports.
The memories that have been created will bring joy and peace to our hearts forever. Honoring John’s wishes, a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
