My thoughts and prayers are with all of Berta’s family and friends.
I have always admired and respected Berta for the fearless life she led, her tenacious work ethic, her caring and loving nature and the pleasure she brought to all with the amazing meals she prepared and shared with us! God bless and keep you Berta xo
It has been many years since I have seen any of Mrs. Nehring’s family. So sorry for the loss of your mother(grandmother), Lily, Erwin and the rest of the family. I remember Lily & Erwin from school in Morris, Mb. I remember your Mom’s beautiful baking (always looked so delicious) and how hard she worked. Difficult to lose one’s mother. Glad you had her for so many years.
Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Our sympathies to you as a family. My memories also go back to the days when your family lived in Morris.
We have fond memories of being at Berta’s home in Peachland and her amazing garden, she could grow anything it seemed. She was a great cook and full of life. I admired her work ethic she always worked hard. I wish her whole family our condolences.

Alan and I send our sincere condolences to the Nehring family. Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting Berta, it is clear to see that her insightful, generous nature and sense of humour have been passed on to her children. May you be comforted by the strength of your family bond.
