We Remember

NELLANEY, Diane
April 3, 1954 — December 15, 2022
Diane Nellaney went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2022, at the age of 68.
She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Michael; children Marilyn Clark, Guy Adolphe, Joanne (Bryce) Stewart, Paul Adolphe (Jenny Liao), and Colette (Chris) Robertson; stepson Donnie Nellaney; grandchildren Brooklynne (born to Troy), Noah & Cielle (born to Marilyn), Summer & Mackenzie (born to Paul and Jenny), Lily, Lucy & Brady (born to Joanne and Bryce), Natalie, Annabelle, Hannah & Camilla (born to Colette and Chris); and great-grandchildren Lucas and Ava Clark; parents Roger and Denise Sabourin; siblings Suzie (Henri), Raymonde (Rocky), Louis (Danielle), René (Lauren), Joanne (Dan); Rachelle (Gerald), and Nicole (Paul); numerous nieces and nephews; and her extended family. Diane was predeceased by her brother Marc.
Diane’s life was rich with laughter and many blessings. She had been borne of two very generous and loving families, and with faith and resolve, would later create a loving family of her own. For this love of family, she would give everything, leaving an open door to all who would come. Her predisposition to empathy and forgiveness led to a life rich in lasting friendships. Her later years would see her flying amongst the clouds with a husband who loved her dearly. Would that sea breeze you loved so much be forever a reminder of those who loved you so.
If you did meet Diane on this side of heaven, you hold in your heart the beauty of her smile, the gift of her kindness and generosity, the sweetness of her company. Love radiated from her and rarely failed to brighten a room or lift a heart.
Some stars shine brighter.
Some flowers stand out, taller and stronger.
Some birds sing sweeter.
Until our paths cross once more, until we set our eyes again on that radiant smile, you will shine on in our hearts, Diane.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bridges to New Life, or the Okanagan Valley Pregnancy Care Centre.
