We Remember

NEUMEYER, James Alexander “Jim”

January 20, 1941 — April 26, 2024

It is with a deep love and great sadness that we announce the loss of Jim Neumeyer, who went to be with his beloved wife, Jeanne d’Arc, on April 26, 2024, in Kelowna, BC.

Jim is survived by his children Sharon (Dwight), Susan (Jim), James (Anita), and Nicole (Matt); 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Jim was an avid outdoorsman who found joy and contentment in hunting and fishing, favouring the tranquility of fishing above all. He had a true passion for woodworking and building, channelling his strength and determination into his work. Despite his rugged exterior, Jim held a soft spot for flowers, particularly pansies. Overall, Jim was known for his stubbornness and resilience, he was a fighter in the face of adversity, and was unwaveringly loyal to those he held dear. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Memorial donations in Jim’s honour may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.

A Funeral Liturgy, with Father Jim Ratcliffe presiding, will be held on SATURDAY, MAY 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM, located at ST. CHARLES GARNIER PARISH, 3645 Benvoulin Rd, Kelowna, BC. Following there will be a get-together at one of Jim’s favourite spots, Creekside Pub, 3929 Lakeshore Rd, Kelowna, BC. For those unable to attend in person, there will be a Livestream.
