It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katherine on Saturday, April 20th after a long struggle. She is survived by her loving husband Bill, brother Jozsef Varga, brother-in-law Nandor Rety and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, BC with an interment to follow at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.  Flowers are accepted or a memorial donation may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, www.hospicecoha.org.

    Bill, please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of our beloved Kati. She was my adopted aunt that Robert and I loved very much. Our hearts are full of sorrows during this difficult time. There is an old poem that says: “A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on”. We will always think of Kati and miss her beautiful smile and all her motherly advice. Kati was an exceptional beautiful soul. Bill, you are not alone as we are here to always support you not only during this difficult moment in life but they’re after. Much love, Erzsike es Robi.
