Ed passed away on March 1, 2016 at the age of 68 years. He was born in Guelph, Ontario the sixth of fourteen siblings. Ed was a wonderful husband and father and is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughters: Giselle of Calgary, Naomi of Winnipeg, Russia of Kelowna; son Edward of Calgary; grandchildren: Courtney, Meagan, Amanda, Morgan, Edwina, Ralston, Ravel, Chloe, Xiathe, Brooklynn, Charlee, Parker; great grandchildren: Nevaeh and Carter; sisters: Mary of Toronto, “Lindy” Lillian of Kelowna, Yvonne of Winnipeg, “Margie” Margaret of Winnipeg, Michelle of Winnipeg; brothers: Donny of Thornberry, “Mickie” Mike of Winnipeg, Robert of Winnipeg and “Skipper” Archie of Winnipeg. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, too many to count.
Predeceased by his son Jimmy, Mom and Dad: Margaret and Neil; brothers: Jimmy, Freddie, Paul and Charles.
Ed was a journeyman auto body technician and loved cars. He was currently working at Pioneer Meats where he made the “best jerky in the world,” alongside his best friend Mike. Nothing gave him more pleasure than his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ed’s humor and good nature kept everyone laughing. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed!
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, March 9th at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC, with interment to follow in the Westbank Cemetery. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the BC Cancer Agency.

Back in the day when were just Teens , Eddie would tease me every chance he got . Enjoyed taking my bottle of Orange Crush , drinking most and giving it back ! So many words over a Pop !
