We Remember
NICKOLSON, Helen
April 16, 1945 — June 4, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Helen Nickolson, at the age of 81.
Born in Lafleche, Saskatchewan, Helen was the second of eight children. Throughout her life, she carried with her the values of kindness, hard work, and devotion to family.
Family was always her greatest joy. Helen treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Her grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart. She took great pride in her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments and milestones.
Helen enjoyed a life rich with friendship, adventure, and community. She loved to travel, spend time with friends, and create lasting memories while camping and attending rodeos. Known for her warm smile and welcoming nature, she had a gift for making others feel valued and appreciated.
One of Helen’s greatest passions was dancing. Whether at a family gathering, community event, or social occasion, she could often be found on the dance floor, enjoying the music and sharing her joy with those around her.
Helen will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, her adventurous spirit, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the cherished memories she leaves behind.
Helen will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Helen was predeceased by her loving husband Iver; her mother Dorothy and father Selmer; her brother Vern; her sister-in-law Barb; and nephew Ryan. She is survived by her children Lauriann (Byron), Dwayne (Tracey), and Corelei (Myles); her grandchildren Zachary (Samantha), Alicia (Kayne), Christopher, Cameron (Gracyn) and Hope; her siblings Ron (Pat), Richard (Barb predeceased), Elmer (Val), Albert (Gail), Gary (Lucille), and Gail (Butch); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will treasure her memory.
