I am so sorry to hear of Shannon’s passing. I did not know her well but we had many interactions with the veterinary care of her cats, she was always so gracious and kind. The care and compassion she provided to her lovely rescue kitties was truly special. I know that many of us at the Fairfield Animal Hospital will miss her dearly. Rest in peace surrounded by soft, purring cats <3

I have been friends with Shannon since we were preschoolers on Okanagan Boulevard in Kelowna. Our parents became friends and so did we. I can still see us lining a red wagon with grass clippings – the basis of a prettily decorated “float” that we proudly pulled along the street. Our version of the Regatta parade. As young women in Vancouver, we shared a lot of fun and laughter – at the beach, playing tennis and enjoying the social scene. Eventually, I would spend weekends with Shannon and Olaf. I am so lucky to have visited Shannon this past July while on vacation. Shannon looked truly lovely and felt strong. I got her on an exceptionally good day and will hold those 4 1/2 hours close to my heart. I love you and miss you Shannon.

Today, (05-11-2020), I just learned of the passing of Shannon. I am so sad. WE worked together in 2000. I was a young, energetic brand manager and she was our office administrator. She was the matriarch of office. She ensured everyone was well even during stressful times. I often chatted with her to help me navigate the internal processes and for moral support. She was there for me when my father died. We has a 2 year old a at the time and she me so much support. I’m sad that I loss touch with her and more sad that I didn’t get to say goodbye and give back the support to her family. She had a gentle soul with a truly kind heart. I will miss her. Here’s a picture of her when we had cake for her birthday at the office. My deepest condolences. to her sister and friends.
