NUMADA, Joe

Joe Numada passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2018 at the age of 86. Survived by his daughter Sheila; son Dale (Cathy) and grandchildren; Jon (Marie), Sarah (Tyler), Andrew and Katie (Roy); great grandchild Evan; sisters Ethel Kinoshita and Emma (John) Naito. Predeceased by Emma Numada (wife).
Joe was born and raised in Rutland and worked in sawmills throughout BC as a saw filer and eventually ended his career back in Kelowna. Joe then spent the rest of his life striving to become a professional golfer and curler. He will be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 27th, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

What a pleasure to know such a kind man, had many a good time with him on the golf course. Our thoughts are with the family.

What can possibly be said to the Numada family that will help ease your loss ? Joe was a much loved man by everyone that knew him . Smiles and friendly words are what Joe always shared with everyone . Renae and I are so sad for your loss .God will certainly have a special place for him in heaven and it will most likely have a golf course and a curling rink . Love to Joe always . What a shock and sudden loss to you and all of us. Joe will be missed by so many who golfed with him for so many years. Always that friendly competition. We shared a room several times on our trips to Tulalip-great fun and will always be in my memory bank.. Clayton and Helene Hack.
I will truly miss a good friend and golfing buddy although I could never beat him at the game of golf. May you par the course in heaven Joe. My sincere condolences to Joe’s family and friends.

Dear Uncle Joe even though the last time I saw you I was very young. But the from what I know and remember you were one of the most kindest persons I knew. Many times I wanted to come and see you and Auntie Emma but life got in the way. I am so sorry for that. You were always remembered as a sweet and wonderful man. It was your time to leave us but you will never be forgotten. We loved you Uncle Joe your kindness and good heart will always be felt . Dear Dale and family, so sorry to hear of your Dads death, he was such a kind, respectful man. Always enjoyed serving him when he came into our office. Have not seen you fo r many years, but always thought you were very much like your Dad. My deepest Sympathy in the liss of your Dad.

Dale and Sheila I watched the service and it was very nice. Uncle Joe will be missed by many. He touched a lot of people. I loved the shnaps. And I remember some of the sayings you two talked about.

We are so sad at reading about the passing of Joe. Our most heartfelt condolences to the family. We lived in the same townhouse complex for many years. I had many conversations with Emma Numada and Joe, until Emma passed away. We honour them both. R.I.P.
