OBRADOVIC, Janith “Jan”

September 26, 1988 — January 3, 2020

With sorrowful hearts the family of Janith Obradovic announce her passing on Friday, January 3, 2020 in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 31.

Born to Carmelita and the late George Obradovic on September 26, 1988 in Vancouver, BC, Janith grew to be a loving, caring, and compassionate person who loved to be silly. Her relationship with her brother, Johnson, was like none other; she would always say “He is the best man I know and the kindest brother I could ever ask for.”

Janith’s biggest joy and love in her life was her beautiful son Carter, he was her “everything”. She spent any moment she could with him. If she was out shopping, she would come home with clothes and toys for Carter. She loved their nightly routine of snuggling while watching T.V. and eating chips and candies. Carter was Janith’s world, her rock, her pride and joy; she would do anything and everything with love and care for Carter.

Janith was a loving daughter, sister, and auntie. She loved being around family and friends. She brightened every single person that she came in contact with. She loved all things beautiful and listening to music. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile, piercing big brown eyes, and caring personality, as well as, her loyalty to all her friends and family. She gave herself to others, she sacrificed for others, and she always thought of others. She touched the lives of so many. She was our beloved, shinning happy girl, the light of our lives and star of our hearts, and she leaves us smiling through our tears. She was joy personified.

When you think of Janith, celebrate the good memories you have of her, because she spread the love and laughter wherever she went. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

Prayers will be recited on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 6:00 pm and A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 10:00 am, both at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. The celebration will be followed by refreshments. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that any donations be made to Janith’s family.

I love you, my daughter, very much and I am very proud of you. Jan, you are so beautiful inside and out. We both are so strong and stubborn yet our love for each other is unmeasurable. I miss your smile and laughter.  I miss your big brown eyes that say it all with pure love and care. I miss you so much. Jan, God is with you, holding your hands and bringing you to his garden of paradise. I love you very much sweetie, goodbye, and rest in peace.
