ORANCHUK, Laurie
—
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Laurie passed away on April 8, 2019 at the age of 53. She lived her life courageously and with determination through her 20-year journey with brain cancer. We will have her forever in our hearts.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 28 years, Rodney; sons Jarred (Mikayla) and Adam; step-daughters Shantel (Mike) and their children Jordan and Karter, and Tara-Lynn (Aaron) and their children Sylas and Evelyn; parents-in-law Edward and Janice Oranchuk; sister-in-law Melody (Gary); siblings Len (Ruth), Barry (Susette), Connie (Terry), Ken (Joanne), Dan (Marlene), Audrey (Kevin) and Cheryl (Rod); numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Laurie was predeceased by her loving parents Jim and Rose Hessdorfer.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, BC. Please keep this a scent free event in consideration of those with allergies. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada, www.braintumor.ca.
