Passed away on January 10, 2013 at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his loving wife Marion of 63 years, his daughter Barbara, and his sister Jessie Gothard. Larry was born in Winnipeg. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces in Italy during World War II. After the war he worked as a Switchman for the CNR. Later he worked as a Letter Carrier for more than 25 years, both in Winnipeg and Kelowna where he moved with is family in 1971. After retiring he took to the rails again and built an extensive model railroad. He always enjoyed photography and took up computers in his 80s. Despite a heart condition that limited some of his activities in his later years, he remained cheerful and loved socializing. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Tereposky and Catherine, the wonderful staff at KGH, the kind and caring people at Mountainview Village and Village at Smith Creek, and also his very supportive friends, old and new. A family Graveside Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
