We Remember
PACHENSKI, Benny (Ben) Frank
July 29, 1934 — March 26, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ben on March 26, 2019 in Kelowna, BC. He was born July 29, 1934 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.
Ben took over the family Beekeeping business in Nipawin before moving his family to Kelowna in 1972 to start a second career in banking that spanned 20 plus years. He moved to multiple locations between Kelowna and the Lower Mainland with BMO and HSBC during this time.
Ben’s favorite place on earth was Maui where he spent many winters with the love of his life, his wife Pauline. You could always find him on the northwest corner of the Maui Eldorado Cabana with Pauline at his side and a smile a mile wide. He especially enjoyed it when his family came to visit.
Ben is survived by his loving wife Pauline, son Barrie (Cory) and grandchildren Blake (Emmy), Brett (Ciara), Aryn (Craig) and Penny (Duane); great grandchildren Elle, Blair, Isla, Cole, Connor, Logan and Warren; and sister Sandra (Ken). Ben is predeceased by his son Bruce and daughter-in-law Lexie and Barrie’s mom Zae Robertson as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Pauline has four children Parry (Tammy), Jody (Mike), Jamie (Jim) and Shannon (Jim); 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ben was a kind man with a huge heart and will be sadly missed by us all. At Ben’s request there will be no service.

So sorry Barrie to hear of your dad’s passing. I did have a short visit with him at Brandts Creek a few months ago. I’ll always remember your mom & dad dropping by our house one evening to thank me for my patience & time spent with you, Barrie, during your KSS days. You’re in our thoughts & prayers during this difficult time. Cherish your memories & all those special times you shared over the years! Bernie & Ev Monteleone
